The Old Man Emu offerings (UCA00010) are much newer than this thread, they only started offering them for the 100/470 in late 2023 if my memory serves me. We have sold and installed dozens of sets of them @ Cruiser Outfitters, we keep them on the...
That is the exact kit that I have and used for my upper and lower ball joints. When replacing either, it’s a good idea to pull the dust boot and replace after installation. This will also allow you to press on the lip of the ball joint better, as...
Short answer is that I wheel really hard.
I push my 100 to the limit and carry spare SPC UBJs at all times. I replace them when they start squeaking as that generally correlates to a small amount of play developing…
Patch is referring to replacing an SPC-specific upper ball joint. SPC uses a large nut instead of a pressed-style ball joint, making it much easier to remove without needing a special press kit. I use the same one, and it takes about 10 minutes...
Thank you for a most informative post. I’ve had an ‘01 LX 470 for 3 1/2 years and it is my first IFS truck. I’ve wheeled with live axle trucks for 40 years and I have a lot to learn about IFS. So here’s my dumb sounding question.
Why would a UCA...
I can meet yall around 8ish at the Exxon in Fairplay. I'm excited. This will be my first group cruiser ride. Just gotta replace both CV axles before then but no biggie.

I received an email from Jim Jinesta (CSC4W) about 4x4 volunteers to support moving Ascent & Marathon volunteers up and down the mountain. (@Goslow and I did this two years ago). The "working days" are in late September--Friday 19th, Saturday...
Thanks for posting this. It’s a great description of what it’s like to support this activity. I’ve done it the last two years and I’ve already signed up directly with JJ to support it again this year.
How much tire pressure are you currently running? E- rates tires on these vehicles and lighter vehicles ride perfectly fine with proper pressure. Must chalk test to get proper contact, it's usually lower than you think!
My shop replaced my bushings with poly bushings, brand unknown, and they allowed the steering rack to slip. I gave them White Line bushings and it held securely.
Thanks again for letting my family and I tag along. Greatly appreciated! We enjoyed the day. Here is my one pic that not to much of. Duplicate of what's already been posted.
We did Antero and Brown's Lake trails yesterday. Three trucks: Goslow, 3rdGenD, and mine. We had a little bit of drizzle, but otherwise had great weather. It was a good, long, enjoyable day in the high country.
Correct. Others in this thread have suggested that this wire be run to the battery positive terminal for a more secure fix. I ordered a new fuse box from Partsouq because I want to repair this permanently. If there is such a thing. Partsouq is...
You have two wires spiced together into the single relay contact. One goes to your fuse, but I’m not sure where the other one will go to. Doesn’t look right. Here’s how mine is constructed. Many thanks to Medtro for creating this fix. I’ve had...
