I’ve had an FJ40 a little longer than I’ve had my license (bought one a week before I passed my test . Originally a 1965 that unfortunately didn’t make it through a hydroplane on the freeway a couple of years later and since then a 1974 that I purchased up in WA and drove home to California. Great trip with my brother.
Since then I’ve either been active with my FJ40 or been parked waiting for me to have more time.
Life has blessed me with two boys who have loved the FJ40 since they were old enough to climb and they’ve given me a renewed love for the truck - and a desire to re-polish her as best I can while trying to avoid the inevitable “chasing of the ugly”.
No matter how rough a day - driving my FJ40 puts a smile on my face.
