The whole point of the purchase, and build, was an adventure to Alaska and Canada with a buddy. Unfortunately, the buddy had to back out, so this became, mostly, a solo trip.
I was able to meet up with @coldtaco and his wife for a few days in AK.
Welcome! Looks great. I’d suggest some time in the FAQ thread; full of good stuff.

This is certainly debatable and anyone’s answer is really just opinion. IMO, I do not think changing the oil at < 5000 miles (the OEM guideline) is necessary, but I also think clean oil is better than dirty oil and that engines do break in and...
remember your a little bit heavier with aromor and stuff. I run mine at 35-36. However, I have no math or support to say that is correct
I do run the tall skinny e rated tires Toyo AT3's
I just used my onboard air compressor for the first time and it’s kinda slick and super convenient. This is the OEM compressor that comes with the Trail Hunter. You just set the desired preset value and connect the hose. It will air up or down...
hey Brian, thanks so much for the kind words and so glad you're happy with everything! Can't wait to see it all mounted up...

I bought Nuschield protector with the “day view” finish. They make protectors for thousands of devices. I could not find one that exactly match the dimensions so I bought one and then cut it down to size. This is what I bought...
I put a matte finish screen protector on mine and in an attempt to help with glare and it also helps a little with finger prints but finger prints are going to just be part of any touch screen.
I didnt time a cold boot. I would guess 30 seconds plus or minus
There is a stting of how long you want to hold it in standby. Mine is 72 hours. Within that 72 hours, it comes up instantly
Looks like you have a 2019, so would be a different...
Vhedia responded pretty quickly. Chrome is built into the firmware and I can update/reinstall the firmware. However, it will delete all the apps I installed and reset all the settings back to factory. It doesn't look like there is a newer...
I was able to get some to work. I never tried OBD fusion on the previous Tesla unit. Those were not the primary reasons I wanted to upgrade if you go back to post 1, but I am very happy with how they are working on the new unit
My EC Offroad “Tesla” unit has always allowed split screen between two apps. It’s a little quirky in that I’ve never figured out how to get a specific app on the top or bottom. Nav apps seem to always go to the top half and everything else goes...
I wish split screen was a permanent thing on these… really just functioning as two independent screens.
If my audio system ever dies I’m following in your footsteps. in the meantime I was trying to find one of those “roadtop” style screens that...
I went through the setup and configuration today and spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting a Chrome browser issue. It works as a web page but wont save bookmarks or synch with my Google account. I couldnt login to Gaia as that logs in...
I stored my ARB jack horizontally for 5 years without issue. The Mojab jack has the shut off bleeder valve that locks. I am willing to see how it goes Horizontally since that worked on the ARB Jack. I missed the Horizontal vs Vertical part...
