New 82 FJ60 got going again after sitting. Not sure normal operation but when you turn the key on the tach pegs all the way.
Then once it's running sometimes it works correctly, sometimes stays pegged or will freeze in-between at random spots...
Lots say necessary but i've never had one, not sure how well it helps with cooling like people say honestly
Save money and get a few tanks of gas for what they're asking
I could see for keeping out stuff while wheeling though
If you're thinking about doing the lines yourself you can do the rest too
Heck that's one thing I won't even really try yet lol and i've rebuilt a lot of axles/brakes
Passed smog. Found documents of the last test in 2013 and it was parked since. Guy I bought it from would just drive it around the neighborhood every couple years because he couldn't pass it. Told me it probably needed a new catalytic converter...
I saw that too. Wonder if they caught wind of too low of a price and raised them. If you create an account it's cheaper and showing 237/tire.
I placed my order on 8/29.
Also if you chat with them or call you can get them cheaper.
I just picked up a set and looked for a long time for pricing. Randomly saw one at Walmart.com for 201 free shipping but only let me order one.
Best I found was simpletire got them for $183/tire on their recent labor day sale free shipping...
Start circuit/ignition fixed. Removed RS3000 Alarm and she starts from the key. No more jumping the starter from underneath lol.
Now to figure out the center difflock issue.
On top of what @bhsdriller said, there looks to be some suspect stuff going on, as well as a desmog. I’d really look over the desmog and all capped/plugged vacuum lines to ensure no leaks.
Based on the rough castings of the carb I’m going to go...
Need to pull the carb and completely clean it and all of the internal jets/passages. Can't do it from the outside
Also check fuel level in the site glass and always a good idea to put a new fuel filter on
Got it figured out, feel dumb now looking back but the pedal to master was out of adjustment too far. No play between and it was slightly pushed in at all times so slave cylinder couldn't retract
4 months is nothing I do the same here and it's just as hot during the summer.
Just crank it, let it prime while building oil pressure and it's good to go.
Ok messed with it again and have another dumb question. With everything installed when you push down the clutch pedal the slave cylinder piston gets pushed out which pushes on the rod and actuates the fork/clutch.
When you let off the clutch...
