Quick local camp trip, found some dirt, cleaned it up... Which led to a deep clean...

Break in miles, oil changes with big boi oil filters from @HemiAlex, and some spit shine on the old girl.

Thanks! It rides great and I love how they centered the rear axle in the wheel well. It’s basically an entire Redline Landcruiser 2.5” kit minus the shocks

Finally tracked down a 2025 LC250 in ice cap white, with premium package, black leather, roof rack & 18’s. Took the 40 to pick it up!

Looks like we are now preserving this FJ40 for the third generation :steer:

First time offroad in my ownership. Headed up a local trail for some Xmas card photos! Don’t worry, I gave it a good wash as soon as we got home haha.

Sunday Cruiser

Headed out to another early morning Donut Derelicts show in Huntington Beach. Had some great convos about my carburetor ordeal lol. Also spoke with the owner of this FJ45LV!

Test drove an LC250 today. Got our name down for one hopefully in a month or so.

Noticed coolant coming out of the overflow tank, and found out that the oem cap I ordered doesn’t have the same neck length as the Mishimoto cap. So I pried off the decal from the oem cap and superglued it onto the Mishimoto cap.

Bumped into a Trail Dust LC250

I think I finally found a decent solution for the unobtanium speedo grommet. I tried a plug from Amazon that was the same size as the hole, but the center was paper thin rubber that tore and looked bad. Found this 3/8 shock bushing in my parts...

Went out to Huntington Beach to check out the Donut Derelicts cars and coffee. It was a great turnout! The fresh air pull decided to quit working, but luckily it just popped out the holder. I slid it back in and crimped it with some pliers...
