I spent some time looking for a dash pad...never found one, you might find one somewhere in the used market that might be in reasonable shape, I've just decided I'm going to find something to cover mine with at some point. I gave up on that unicorn hunt.

Project looks good, if you need a rear heater I've got the one out of my 86...it appears to be in good shape, and I think I have the two hard line heater pipes that feed the rear heater as well (I bought those new some time ago). Anyway if you need/want the parts let me know (free to someone who will use them). hard line pipes would need to be picked up to avoid damage, I don't mind sending you the heater if you want it. I removed the rear heater to install some different front seat brackets/seats. Stuff is sitting in my shop...just collecting dust.

Thanks...i found a $153 pad on ebay that will suffice for now.

rear heater is still in play under the passenger seat and looks to be ok.....i may remove, haven’t decided.....now is the time tho, as i have all the carpet and padding out to redo.....

Amazon special 3/8 drill brush/scrubber kit was clutch to have when getting the stuck padding off of the factory sound Deadener. Sure beats scraping at it. Anyhoo......dynamite on whole floor. Turned out nice. About to get the carpet fitted....it’s more of a job (to get right) than i thought it was going to be.....i stepped away last night because i was going To eFF something up if i continued to try and Get it done last night....

got the CHY-NA reproduction grille & headlight “doors” installed. I’d be lying if I said they weren’t a good fit, but would also be lying if I said the “went right in place”.

the headlight trim came with clip nuts for attaching the indicator lights, and Ihad a booger of a time getting them lined up. I ended up using a flat file and taking some material off of the edges of where the clip nuts go on, so the would spread the width of the light screw holes.

all in all it’s a good product for the $ and is a great improvement over the repainted and worn parts I replaced.

Put in a little work on the Jug this weekend.

After finishing up the sound deadener, which is a game changer btw, i got the @dnp carpet sorted out. It wasn’t too bad, but definitely takes a full day with some patience and careful trimming.....

thanks to @wngrog for the soldering iron tip (used for poking and shaping holes for the seats etc)

Did you re-staple your wiring harness "bridges" to the new carpet? I ask because it looks like a staple next to the scuff plate in the last photo. If it is, and if you ever want to redo this, you can either (a) use trim adhesive to attach the bridges to the carpet or (b) you can do nothing at all. The bridges just provide support to keep the carpet from drooping into the channel in which the harness lies, so nothing is really even needed to keep them in place.......just an FYI
