So in my search for a 200 I found a 100k mile LX that I thought had the engine (long block) replaced at 60K due to Lexus not replacing the oil after an oil change. The service reads SERVICE: C DESCRIPTION: C ~|~LEXUS OF LAS VEGAS LEFT OUT ENGINE OIL DURING SERVICE ON RO#83981. VEHICLE STALLED IN SHOP AND WOULD NOT RESTART. ~|~C ~|~C, UPON DISASSEMBLY IT WAS FOUND THAT THE #1 POSITION MAIN BEARING HAS SEIZED after reading a couple time and shaking my head I figured out it wasn't replaced after reading the full description, the long block wasn't replaced, they just looked at the one journal. Buyer Beware: I saw this in early Oct. 2018 when it was at Mountain States Toyota in Denver, it was parked in the trade-in line. I looked it up on their site a couple days later and they had it priced at a very reasonable $19K or at least I thought at the time. I called about it and they said it had it had too many mechanical issues to even consider fixing so they sent it straight to auction. The sales guy seemed disappointed because he knew the Amazon Green 200 is rare. As I expected it popped up again at a small lot who bought it from Auction. Not mine, at the local dealer here. 2013, White, 55k miles, one owner local to Virginia Beach. All service documented at the same dealership, 5k mile oil change intervals. Needs tires, though they pass inspection. Very clean underneath no rust. $42k. Problem - I have never seen a dirtier interior on any vehicle. I got to the dealer first thing this morning, and they had just brought it into the cleaning bay. Leather was intact, but filthy. Spilled soda, gum on the rear headrests. Black stains on the carpets. Like a tribe of diaperless monkeys had lived in it. I can't imagine using this as a daily driver in that state, but someone did and then just dropped it off for trade. Wanted 2013 LX how long until it has been for sale too long?

A dealer in the Anaheim area of California has an LX that I am interested it. Seems to be a reasonable price for the miles and is the right color combo. My wife is concerned because it has been on the market for about 50 days. Does time on market impact your decision to look at car? I am not local so I would need to travel to check it out. (I am new here, this seemed like the best place for this question. Please let me know if I was wrong)

FREE Would you buy a 200 series from Houston?

Found a decent deal... always been leery of buying from areas shortly after a flood/hurricane has hit? I Don't know if I am being too picky or if I am justified in my concern. Any thoughts? The vehicle is being offered by a dealership that sells a different manufacturer's vehicles. I plan to have a PPI (pre purchase inspection) done but in my VERY recent experience this has proved useless. Toyota of Dallas did my last PPI and missed two very severe issues. Regards, HGB
