Short story, slice in my sidewall on the junk Goodyear Territory DS front. No idea when or where. Leaning on just replacing them all. Will stay stock size. Had Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx on my Landcruiser and liked them. Local tire shop I've used for 40 years and they offroad also suggests Falken Wildpeak A/T4W as alternative. Falkens are $100 less per tire as they are regular load, not heavy load for the Coopers. I don't offroad as much as I did in the LC.
Noticed on the spare rim a sticker saying temporary use only. Rim weaker? Same tire.
Pic of slice and temp sticker.

I have Falken Wildpeak A/T4W on my Gen4 Tacoma. I have A/T3 on my 4Runner. I like the A/T4W much better.

A/T4W is where I'm leaning. Regular or HD E rated? Again leaning toward the E rated heavy duty.

E rated will ride rough. I have C rated. If you don't carry a bunch of weight, you don't need either.

seems to stick with a stock-ish size you either have the option of E or SL(standard load) on the wild peaks. I have an SR5 and need some ATs ... I'm thinking C and SL are fairly close, with C being slightly heavier duty... E sucks. I think I will go with a wild peak SL. This is my daily driver... I just need something better for the weather than the stock HT tires. I tow a 10 foot utility trailer at the most....

Are you completely stock? I thought about sizing up a bit but I don’t really need too. This truck is my daily. I just want something better than the HTs on there. I plan on no real upgrades for a long time on this. My wife is a nurse and I’m a firefighter. We live in a neighborhood in the woods that never gets plowed etc…. Getting to work is not optional. Went out with the stock tires today in the snow storm and did not like what I was feeling one bit. Way different than my other trucks I had good ATs on. Way different. We also visit my brother which is way off the beaten path. Some mild off road action.

I have an incoming 40 for the fun stuff 😁

My pops swapped the Trail Grappler tires that came on their LC250 Premium with the stock GoodYears on his Trail Hunter; they are the same size. Smoother, quieter ride in the LC for my mother and a more aggressive look on my father's Tacoma, they both win.

Im a coopersnob a bit myself. They have never let me down. I think the at3 xlt would fit perfectly on this truck. Thats my plan when the stockers wear out
