this is a project I picked up to finish but havent. Woman had got it in a divorce and had it stored then I got it from her.Had been painted before stored (husband was redoing it) . Was in pieces and I have been putting it back together. Put new brakes on the front but need to adjust. carb needs worked on(runs with choke out)great oil pressure, clutch needs bled ,has new tires, tail lights, master cyl. im selling my 76 fj40. im going to college next year and need money. that and i have no more money to fix it and cant stand seeing it just sit. ive done quite a bit to it. ccot brushguard, tuffy locking center consel, bikinni top, radio, 4 point crow seat belts, heavy duty steering stabelizer, 31x10.x15 tires on black rims ben on a while but will last a little longer about 25% left. i did do a complete engine rebuild but the rear main spun after 0 miles and 1500 into the motor and i just dont have the money to fix it. all it needs is the rear main fixed and bearings. all the other parts are fine, no metal flake damage. the new parts are, camshaft, lifters ,valves ,rings, new ugraded radiator, alternator, starter, rebuilt carbuator...

I was wondering if anyone had 71-82 fj40 that they want to sell. I am not trying to spend over $1200. Just as long as the frame is good and the body is repairable. These are RARE!! This one came up from Honduras a couple of years ago, and has a valid title.
Original B diesel motor with a new head.
Runs and drives great! Has some rust and bondo, but much better condition than most 70's Landcruisers. Has a nice radio, hidden kill switch, and a rare PTO winch
4 speed tranny shifts great, tcase and hubs work great also.

My Dad has decided that he'd like to part ways with his 40. It is bone stock ( aside from a few small upgrades). It has 126K on the ticker.
He has owned it since 1998, during which time it has been 100% garage kept. There is some bondo that is bubbling on the tub, but no holes in the body. The paint is shiny as can be.
I know some about the truck, i'll do my best to give whatever info that i can.
The simple upgrades are a tuffy console, boomerang shackles, a mean green alternator , flowmaster exhaust and slightly larger tires.
He also has a kayline soft top, a header, a new headliner, the original wheels, an oem spare tire carrier and a few other odds and ends that go with it.

The rig had a Chevy 350/T400/NP205 combo in it but the previous owner kept it.
Included in this sale is a Chevy V-8 350?/T400/NP205 that was in the rig. The engine, tranny and T case worked fine when I pulled it. The engine mounts on the frame and the crossmember for the transmission are not correct so i pulled the powertrain.

350 is a crate motor from chevy that was installed several years ago but only has about 1,000 miles on it. Runs a drives.
New Master cylinder with drum brakes all around.
Top and sides removed but I have everything.
Also have a full set of wheels (5) 15 x 9.
I have been wanting to build this old girl for a long time but just don't have the time or the money to accomplish what I want so I thought I would throw it up and see.
She is not pretty but is all there. Has a rear brake cylinder that is sticky but shw will still run and drive fine.
