Hello, I am looking to sell my 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj40. The odometer on the vehicle shows 59xxx miles as of this past weekend. 1982 BJ40 Diesel Landcruiser with 3B and H55F 5 speed trans. It is a left hand drive rig from Panama. I drove it back from Arizona to Washington State about 3 years back and just as I got to the house the original diesel went TU. I had a newer 3B and H55 put into it and it has sat since. I hate to sell the project but I have a 15 month old daughter and am working 12 to 14 hours a day. I have no time to restore it. The frame is solid and has typical pinholes in the floor pan and a few rust spots here and there, but would make a great platform for a rebuild. No power steering, heat or AC (Panama standard). For $7000 I will throw in a mint unmodified Canadian M101 trailer.
Like I said, it has sat for a year or so and I would like to see...
I have 2 1972 FJ40 Landcruisers for sale.
One has been completely taken apart and ready for frame-off restoration or used as parts for fixing up the second one. The frame of this one has a PTO winch mounted to it and I have all the parts to go with it.
The other one has the fenders, bumpers, and running boards taken off where I was trying to do a slight restoration to it. This cruiser needs new tires, for they are fairly slick. It has a spring-over-axle conversion, saginaw power steering with high-steer conversion, 4" leaf spring lift, and a chevy 350 swap.

This truck has the original in line 6, though it's been freshly rebuilt. New clutch, new front wheel seals. Soft top and Bikini top included. New front seats. Original rumble seats in the back. 4 Brand new tires Falken 31 10.50 R15. Brand new Kenwood stereo still in the box. Not installed cause I don't know how. No gauges. I also have a Rough Country 4in suspension lift still in the original packaging. Can be included or sold separately.
Truck has little rust under passenger side door and a bit on fenders and under tail gait, but mostly clean.
Drives great, shifts smooth. I wouldn't part with it if I didn't need to pay off my other truck. Winchester TN $6500
1975 fj40 landcruiser, 4x4, 4 spd, fairly overdrive, small lift, shackle reversal, centerline wheels, goodyear mtr tires 285/75/16, downey lockers, header, australian 2f carb, painless wiring harness, reupholstered seats, great condition for its age, some rust in usual places but not bad this would be a great daily driver or a restoration project.

Just wanting to see what kind of interest I would get.
Basically in a nut shell I was offered a job in CT and wanted to take my FJ40 that I had been rebuilding for the last 3 years.
Got it to the point that it was running very well and I have it registered and everything. Only problem I wasnt able to fix my brake booster in time.
On the last day basically before I was meant to leave my brake booster decided to not work properly. so I had to leave it in my shed with a car cover on it.
This is where it sits now. I am in CT and Winter is coming up and I'm thinking to pay off some bills and get a 97+ land cruiser
I have seen what cruisers like mine have been selling for on ebay and they are going for $16k -$20 realistically...

This is my sixth FJ40 which was purchased for me by my wife three years ago for my birthday. It was supposed to be my LAST FJ40. That was, until we purchased a new Silverado for work, and therefore NEED this "last" FJ40 sold to help in the financing of the new truck. This has been my favorite of the six, and I hate to see her go :frown:
She is original as they come, with just the right amount of mods to make her super easy to drive - try 80 mph comfortably - and eye catching to both the serious off roader and the collector alike.

I have a 78 FJ40 that I am selling due to job security concerns. She is a V8 conversion with electric fuel pump but is very clean, straight, and rust free outside of that. There are a couple after market gages (temp, pressure, RPM). She has the jump seats. Also have lock boxes that can go in place of either, none, or both jump seats. Marine grade radio in glove box. Only negatives I can think of are ugly headliner area (which I'm told is an under $200 headliner fix), and some steering slop. Gas tank looks new. Have a 1971 Land Cruiser for sale. Car has little to no rust on the tub where the main rareity in the car is. Has a chevy v8 in it and a turbo 400 tranny, 33 inch tires, hard top, soft top, hard doors and also the soft top doors, heater, new radiator put in back in April. If there is something you can think of to modify on a FJ40, I probably have done it to this one. I have tried to list all the modifications but there is just too much to include. It was a complete frame-up rebuild and I tried to do everything "RIGHT". I wanted a fully capable crawler that was still comfortable doing 60 mph on the freeway. I am not an expert but I think I did a good job on this project, so if you have any questions or need details let me know.
