This is a solid truck that runs great and passes smog with flying colors. It's a bit of an ugly duckling that has quite a few upgrades including a 4" suspension lift, advanced handling shackle reversal kit, rear fender flares, 31" BFGs and diamond plate quarter panels. It has an auxiliary fuel tank inlet installed so adding an auxiliary tank will be a breeze, but the previous owner removed the aux tank. This FJ has only a very little surface rust in areas - rear sill was completely replaced by previous owner and is rust free. It's setup with a custom heavy duty winch-ready bumper and 2" receiver hitch in back. Needs new seats and the front right fender needs some loving or replacing. Original odometer shows just over 78K miles.

All this FJ40 needs is someone interested in doing some cosmetic clean-up and paint. OR forget the paint, leave the top and doors at home and hit the trail as-is!

Please shoot me a PM if interested. Thanks!

Not CA smog.

Good point. Obviously not as is, but the emissions test here was so impressively good that I'd bet that with restoration of the emissions setup it would pass in CA.

If anyone is seriously interested I will run it down for a current test and provide the numbers.
