This Troopy is from Australia and I have owned it and driven it for four years. Has always been mechanically sound and reliable. Five new 33X12.50 BFG all terrain tires, new fan belt, oil and fuel filter just changed, rebuilt master cylinder and optima red top battery. According to all the Landcruiser web-sites there are less than 200 of these stateside. They were never imported to North America. Currently has bucket seats and rear jump seats from 1964 FJ40. Original split bench, rear step, and hitch included. Some rust in usual Landcruiser spots (not a rust bucket) extra...

This 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ44 is a right-hand-drive wagon that was sold new in Japan and imported into the US during previous ownership. It is finished in red with a white roof over a two-tone interior and is powered by a 3.2-liter diesel inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck was acquired in 2017 by me, and I have added 5k of the 191k kilometers (~119k miles) shown. This BJ44 is now offered with a replacement headliner and a clean Ohio title in the my name. Many, many more photos available. Asking $32,500 willing to negotiate.
The truck was refinished in red with a white roof during current ownership and features a steel front bumper with an integrated grille guard...
Originally this was an FJ43 but the 2f engine was swapped out for a 2H. It still has the 4 speed (H41) transmission, front disc brakes out of a 60 series, power steering. This truck had the exterior repainted to correct some areas where bondo was applied in Colombia. It drives and handles pretty good.
Truck comes with soft top and hardtop including the rear ambulance doors

1980 Aussie Toyota Land Cruiser HJ45 Troop Carrier (troopy) running and “driving” project for sale.
Although it’s in great shape overall, this a project as it needs paint and some fuel system work to be a show stopper. I’m only selling this to continue to fund my 70 series troopy. Body is in surprisingly great shape with very little rust compared to most of these. All the typical problem areas are in great shape - rear sill, floor boards and door bottoms are good and not rotted out. Body has been prepped for a respray in the original Sky Blue.
