I have a 2007 LX470 - looks like the valve for the low pressure side is bad. I tried switching out the valve core, but it still leaks. I have verified leaking by connecting high side (system is open), and leaving low side off. I run the vacuum pump and can feel suction on the low side. Same result if i pull vacuum with everything connected - as soon as I close the low side valve, then pop off the quick connect, it loses vacuum (hisses).

Is there an adapter available I can use to fix this? I'd rather not source and replace the entire line... It seems simple enough - just something that screws into the existing port, with old valve core removed, and then has a new valve core in the adapter piece.

Can't you just put a new Schrader valve in? I think you need ones specific to A/C systems. But, they should be easy to find.
I've tried that but it still leaks. I believe the seat inside where the valve core sits is buggered up. It doesn't look like the entire valve housing comes off. Its part of the pipe.

all ac shraeder valves leak a little bit. make sure your caps are in good shape. those are the part that actually does the sealing, not the valve itself. so make sure your caps are in good shape and present. if it doesn't leak through the cap you're good

Alright. Maybe I'm overthinking it. It leaks pretty fast though. I pull vacuum and can physically feel the suction on my finger w the cap off and valve core installed. Is that normal?

not sure, ive never tried that. usually we pull vacuum from both sides. i've replaced shraedver valves from the dealership and they will bubble if you put some pag oil down there. if it doesnt leak through the cap you're good. the valve is just there to seal while you connect your manifold. the cap seals the system from the outside. common to have caps hiss slightly when removing

i hadn't ever done it that way either, but when i disconnected the low pressure side after pulling vacuum i heard a loud hiss and air was being sucked inside pretty quickly. i do wonder if its full of freon if that wouldnt happen... ill grab a valve core and cap from the local dealer to make sure I have good parts.

If the problem still continues after getting a new valve I would suggest to just replace the line the charge port looks bad from someone trying something. A good coupler should not damage the port inside or outside also use the correct valve core tool. You can also try cleaning the valve core seat with a small round brush similar to oil galley cleaning ports if the valve won't seal then you have to replace that suction hose.
