So how did it go? Were there any access issues with the powerline construction? I want to head out there in the next couple of months.
 
No access issues at all. You have to drive between two fenced areas right by the In-Ko-Pah kiosk. There are signs that say "no entrance for power project personnel", but the area is "open to public use".

I actually ran a little longer route than originally anticipated: Up to the mine, backtracked to the radio tower, strarted to head down to the old shooting area but took the dropoff to the left that puts you into the loop that runs along the barbed wire border fence and ultimately brings you right back to that dropoff to the left. Then went straight down to the old shooting area, across the highway and ran the Mountain Spring loop.

All in all, pretty uneventful with the exception of the fact that the increase in rear articulation with the new lift on the 4Runner allowed my to shear off the grease zerk on the rear of my driveshaft:D:rolleyes:
