I thought i had this pretty much fixed well lets say band aided.. while the truck was getting its suspension installed the garage said it runs like poo..which it kinda does but i can still manage to drive it... they hooked up the bypassed vacuum from this silver puck(pressure regulator?) ran 10x worse, it's been sitting since i don't want to pay for another garage to "try" and fix it with our labor rates in my area at $100+per hour. so initially how this happened was i washed the engine :bang: brought it in; replaced distributor and some other misc parts(which i forget) and some new hoses, they bypassed the silver puck and it was once again "drivable". got a camera and checked out the hoses underneath the intake none look disconnected or cracked.

while i have the truck running i disconnect the pressure reg and plug the hard line with my finger it run noticeably better then re insert the hose and it almost stalls out..lastly it does run better once warmed up still not 100% but better. What should be my next step or what can i look for? i did determine i have the old series "bad" computer. thanks for reading this long confusing badly punctuated issue

Any idea since this is the long weekend, however if i just cap that line is it safe to drive around again?.. thanks :)

I replaced the PVC valve knocked some carbon out of the egr modulator and it is running better as of now... However my oil pressure gauge does not work.. I had it working then it stopped.with the engine running it sounds normal no clicks or funny noises.. Is this the part that reads to oil pressure? And should I be concerned without the gauge working to operate the truck? Thanks!
