I have read all the posts. I installed an aluminum PS cooler. With the truck on jacks, turning the wheel, I got clean ATF coming out of the clear plastic return line into the waste bucket. When turned one way, the clean fluid pumps out. Then when turned the other way, nothing comes out. It looks like it only pumps in one direction. Is that correct? After 4 qts, I hooked the return hose back up, started engine and got a foam resevoir overflow. Let it settle a day and got the same thing. Am I missing something? Thanx in advance, L.B.:hhmm:

Started procedure again. Now I have gone thru 7 qts. I'ts clean in the clear plastic tube. Hook it back up.....foam overflow. I have to go buy more fluid.

You should bleed the system once it is all back together, ready to go down the road. Not into a bucket.

Camino: can you post up some photos of what you are doing?

when you bleed out the ps our going to have everything hooked up and the teh engin running. usually the system takes about 3 bottles of ps fluid, i dodnt know how much you will need i dont know how big your cooler is. fill the resevouar and start the engin. you will here the pump whining, this is normal its the pump cavatating because of the air on the fluid. turn the wheel side to side at full lock, shut the engin off, refill and repeat. then test drive to check for leaks followed by  for a job wel done.

Thanx for the help! I hooked the return hose back up, started and turned side to side, over and over.. After turning engine off, foam overflowed. So I filed it, and did it over and over again and finally.....success! Added a little Downey, works great and super quiet! It looks like it holds a quart or more, it is mounted behind the bumper on the pasenger side. :p:p:pL.B.
