The check engine light as been on a while now and I wanted to see if any new codes has sown up or I was still dealing with the dreaded P0401 code. Rather than have Autozone check it I thought it was time to buy a OBD scan tool. I found the BlueDriver from Lemur for $29 with 2 day shipping and free Iphone app. The app is pretty basic but did the job. It reads the codes and pending codes and will email them in a report, it also has a tachometer & speedometer with speed warning and max speed achieved. The device itself is pretty small and I was able to drive with out it hitting my knee. I was able to use it on my 96 Lexus LX450 with out any problems and took less than a min to sinc to my phone. All in all I am very happy with this product.

Very cool scan tool.

Any action shots?

Does it give engine temps?

I have been using Torque and a cheapy odbII bt dongle for a little while now. pretty cool. (not on my '94 however, in my scion)

Can it active show all guages, for example, engine temps?

Only does Speed and RPM's, Im sure when the app is further updated more system on the fly diagnostics will be added.

any updates on how its working. pretty sweet.

Sorry no action shots but this app is very simple and easy to use. The app only has the two gauges speed and rpm. I hope that they do add more with an update. It does work very well though I believe this the cheapest option for the iPhone that's why I bought it.

Hi Folks.

I'm one of the engineers with Lemur Vehicle Monitors - if anybody has any questions about our hardware or app, I'd be happy to answer them!

At the same time, we are working on a major revision of the app (to v2.0) to include more advanced diagnostics and a larger selection of parameters to monitor on your gauges. So, if anyone wants to throw items onto a wishlist it would certainly help us to provide what people like yourselves want!

So far I'm hearing:

  • Engine Temps

Oh, and thanks to jeepgod for taking the time to post about our product - much appreciated!

Regards,

-Greg Browne

Oil Pressure; Fuel level; System voltage; I am in favor of any and all available analog values that can be plucked from the system, with the ability to pick and choose (check box selection) which are displayed.

It's nice to see someone trying to keep up with the Droid. Good work.

Maybe Greggorex can find the elusive Trans Temp data by looking at the OBDII raw data string? I figure someone that works with these diagnostics for a living could probably figure it out right;)

How do I find out if my 95 is obd or obd2?

^^ Look in your little fuse box to the left of the steering wheel and down a little. That is where the ODBII connector resides.

From what I have read OBDII was not oficially supported in our trucks untill 96, but I beleive that everyone that has tried it with their 95 has had success.

Does anyone know if the bluetooth sensor that I use on my Torque App with my Droid will work with a new iPhone and Dashcommand or Lemur?

Thanks!

Derrick
