That's the one, the left one is the one that craps out or never works. If you have trouble pairing with 0000 try 1234 or 6789 as all three of mine were different! Rather than having it stickout and banging your knee on it there is plenty of stock cable to tuck it under the dash.

Lol...after the auction was done the seller finally answered my question....

Which was "will this work with iPhone 5?" He said, "no."

After doing even more research it appeared that it will. (Maybe they don't have the apps that we have in USA??).

Anyway, I will let u all know.

Have you guys tried the Garmin bluetooth scanner?

It has everything and free android app for less than $100. Too bad they don't have an Iphone app yet. I left it connected and so far it has been great.

So, any dash command users? Would really like some feedback before dropping big coin on it.

Thanks

With decent 7" android tablets now under $75 hard to justify a proprietary system. Shove a 32gb card and stream adp2. I'll try to find the You tube link where a guy took a nexus 7 and mounted in dash, pretty bad a$$

Sounds neat, but I already have iPhone and iPad set up in truck. Would be a waste of money to buy another tablet just to run a obdII program.

The dash command looks cool, but want real world experience.

I emailed the folks making the iPhone app "engine link" and here is what they had to say about a bluetooth adapter I bought earlier this year for android. i just switched to iPhone and I am looking for a new adapter.

Hello,

The BAFX OBD2 adapter is standard Generic Bluetooth ELM327 (Bluetooth 3.1) device.

For your standard Generic Bluetooth ELM327 (Bluetooth 3.1) device:

iPhone/iPad has restriction on Bluetooth support (Basically iPhone/iPad/iPod requires BT data device to have a special Apple authentication chip which 99% of the BT adaptors don't have). In order to use standard Bluetooth devices in data mode you need to jailbreak your iPhone. You will also need a third party tool to manage the Bluetooth.

If you have jailbreak iPhone/iPad and that tool installed, you should be able to use Engine Link with the OBD II Bluetooth device.

We recommend Bluetooth Low Energy adapter (aka Bluetooth 4.0), it will work right away. The above steps are not needed.

Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141386682275 or http://www.outdoor-apps.com/enginelink.html

Low energy footprint and longer iPhone battery time

Automatic configure. Automatic connect. Very fast fresh rate.

Requires iPhone4s or later. It will work with your iPhone5.

This app also works with WIFI adapter right away.

Please let us know if there are any questions / suggestions.

Thanks and Regards,
