I've used it to stop a small leak.
It worked!

I also have a leak, the back housing plate o-ring. I have already replaced the high pressure and suction hose o-rings, and fixed those, but don't want to take the whole pump off to do one o-ring until I'm ready to do a rebuild.

I've thought of using a stop leak as long as it can all be flushed out when a rebuild is done. Mine is not groaning or anything, so would you run stop leak for a short term fix, or just let it leak?

My buddy's '79 Ramcharger had a power steering leak and we used that, but then when he took it into the shop to have it looked at, they couldn't find anything leaking....

So I say yes, it works.

fixed my leak on my 60, but was so thick that it fried the old pump. :frown:

Used it on my 60 with my V8 conversion on the GM pump. Leaking slowed way down but one day at 20 degrees outside it made a horrible noise while trying to start it...then it was quiet and ran smooth except that I had no power steering. The thick fluid grenaded the pump fins and then it ran smooth. I say it will help stop leaks but would be afraid to run it under 50 degree conditions.
