Just wanted to definitively post up the LSPV bleeder valve size to help others not waste any time.

This was correctly nailed back in '03 (https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=1671) but not explicitly stated, so here goes.

The four corners all get the SB1010.

The LSPV is M-7 x 1.0 and is just over 30-mm so SB7100S is the correct one to get.

Nice info. Needs to go in the FAQ section.

Definitely do not put it in and crank it down expecting a solid resistance when it hits bottom. I put mine in and immediately twisted it right off. Treat that one gentle as it is quite a bit smaller than the others.

So, do you like these then? Did you get the standard or the Stainless ones? Is the best place to buy manufacturer direct, or is there an ih8mud supporter that sells them?

I was checking prices on the stock breeder screws and they were almost $10 each at autozone. Do you remember what the speed bleeders cost?

From the website they are $7.00 each and the shipping seems to be $6.00. So $34 for a set of four.

Five. There are five bleed screws on an FZJ80.

I forgot the lspv. So, $41.00?

Fyi, the earls solo bleeders are much better. I recently used them for my 80 and they worked great. On other vehicles I have use the speed bleeder type & the earls type and the earls just work better. I followed the advice of the OP and ordered the SB7100S for the lspv because I could find the earls in a m7 size. Op thanks for the tip but that is the wrong one, it is too short. It needs to be longer. It bottomed out in the lspv housing and I could not tighten it all the way, resulting in it leaking. Just wanted to update this thread for peeps searching.

***Update the ones you need for the lspv are "speed bleeder" part # SB7100 or
Earls "solo bleed" part # 280025ERL
