So I finally got around to installing a winch in my bull bar yesterday. I have not yet wired it, but plan to put the controller under the hood. I had to cut the valance to clear the winch. I removed a piece from the center about the size of a license plate. If one wanted to take the time, you probably could cut the valance is such a way to keep the very bottom part, keeping it in one piece. Depending on winch model.

I hope these pics help those thinking about a SafriGuard Bumper.

I caught a "sale" last spring. Normal price is $750 plus shipping ($165 in my case)

If you choose to add the recovery points $125 each. They use a 360 degree swivel hoist ring set up. Nice but pricey.

You can buy those swivel hoist rings from mcmaster or carr lane for half that.

Will it accept the 8274?
Does safari gaurd offer two styles like ARB, (planetary vs. 8274)?

I really like the looks of the safari gaurd.
