I've seen conflicting reports on the correct/best size for DuraTracs. I've got an 05 LX470 (all stock w/ AHC) and want to put some DuraTracs on it. What is the best/correct size that won't have any rubbing?

Also, if you have any pictures with DuraTracs on your LC, please share them!

ETA: I have the standard 18" wheels.

Not sure the best size with an 18" wheel, but here's a pic of my 100 with 285/75/16's. Great tire, you will not be disappointed.

Help me decide (tires) - Replace LTX M/S2 with DuraTracs?

My new to me LX 470 came with 4 Michelin LTX M/S2 (they have about 4k miles on them now) and the original Dunlap spare. The size is a bit off on the LTX's - they are P265/60/R18 vs. the OEM P275/60/R18, so they're about half an inch smaller in diameter.

I'm trying to decide between getting one more of these for the spare and living with them or buying a full set of Goodyear DuraTracs in P275/70/18. Cost difference is ~$1500, not counting whatever I might get for the lightly used Michelins.

If you weren't planning any serious offroading (nothing more than a farm road / field trail here and there), what would you do?

Please don't post multiple threads in the same day about the same topic.

Also please use the search the topic has been discussed probably hundreds of times here and in the tire forums.

Understood.

I thought the choice between two options was logically separated from the selection of the correct size DuraTracs, as I have searched for the answer to that question (using both search here and using Google with site:ih8mud.com) and there was some disagreement on whether the DTs would rub with a stock suspension at full flex.

The reason I posted them separately was that in the future someone like me would search for DuraTrac looking for SIZE in the title and likely not care about the pros and cons of them vs. the LTX M/S2's. Sorry.
