so by the greatness of god i stumbled upon a killer deal on a 4.7 TRD supercharger, complete. I was told it had 1500 miles on it when it was taken off.

here is a video of it that he sent me if you're interested. https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=bfc9...il&Bpub=SDX.SkyDrive&authkey=!AGlM8kwgD4uAbkQ

so after reading all the SC threads i know i'll have to get a piggyback ECU but exactly which one do i need to get?

also, i will be changing out my O2 sensors, boost gauge, i've already had a cooling system flush. should i change out my starter while in there?

anything im missing?

i will have this in my grubby little mitts on the 23rd....just too good of a deal to pass up.

forgot to mention....it's a 2003 100

If it originally was sold as fitment to an LC, it should have an ECU with it.

I wrote up a ton of info on what to do with one, from spark plugs to gaskets etc, check out my signature link.

yours was the one i read but it still didnt give me specifics on which ECU piggyback i need to use, just installation instructions.

unless i missed it....

If you don't have the Oem ecu with the unit go get the uni chip one. My knowledge of it is zero since I have the Oem unit.

call up gadget at urdusa.com and see what he has to say...he's the front runner on toyota forced induction units...but probably wont have anything that came with the kit...and with that being said there's no "1" tune for all supercharged 4.7's out there, you'll most likely need to custom tune it to your rig, so see what he as to say/offer.

Welcome to the supercharger club, there are not many members...I stumbled on to one and never looked back. The extra HP is nice.
The supercharger is a great option, merging into highway traffic with a trailer is very easy compared to my 80. The 100 series V-8 was a big step up and then you throw in the supercharger aspect of the equation and she'll get up and go...

I know my setup has a separate ECU for the S/C, if you need part numbers or manufacturer I can remove my glovebox cover and see what I can find -

Good Luck & Have Fun!

well i called ole gadget up and he was as about as helpful as a juggling clown at a funeral. Not sure i've met someone so lethargic. He bashed a bit on the Unichip piggback as i was just asking the difference between the one he said i needed and theirs....pretty much a let down.

that's awesome, i really appreciate that. I just want to make sure i get the right ECU piggyback.

i also read that they made a ECU for the SC LC, is that a OEM piggyback or do i completely replace the ECU?

if i find a OEM what am i specifically looking for? Does it have to specifically be for my 2003 LC. Im just confused about this part of it...

As far as I know there was an OEM ecu unit for the 9 injector unit and one for the 10 injector unit. It's not by year of your vehicle. I didn't install mine so I'm not sure if my unit was fully replaced or if it was just an addition. Read through the instructions and enlighten us.

There is a piggy back ecu that came with TRD s/c. I'll take a photo of it for you and look to see if there are any part numbers. I have the instructions somewhere in the garage and will try to look to see if they have a listing if what's included with the kit.

Let me know if you need anything else. I'll try to get to it by the end of the day.
