Does anyone know if the cup holder insert that "butterflys" out to fit cups...if the design is different after 1998 or does 1 size fit all for all models? Can't get one from cruiser dan unless I buy the entire cup holder... any leads on where to get one are welcomed. Thanks
 
Since your signature has does not say what type of 100 you have:

From memory, 1998 LX's have the butterfly insert and most, if not all, 1998 LC's don't and cannot be added without changing the entire cup assembly.
 
AFAIK, there was only one type of butterfly for all year 100's. You can find them regularly on ebay for $30 or so. There is an ongoing thread where a couple have popped up. The GX470 butterfly dividers also possibly the same. I have not verified it though.
 
I'm sure there is a way if you do some cutting, melting and molding but on my previous 100 (also a 99), It would not fit. The cup holder does not have the necessary grooves in it for the butterfly to slide into. I decided not to mess with it.
 
I took mine out and used the rubber cupholder inserts for FJ Cruiser, works perfectly. Fits smaller bottles and with them removed perfectly fits 32oz powerades.
 
A couple years ago, cruiserparts.net had an entire cup holder assembly including the butterfly for my '06. I paid a crazy cost- I want to say $75- for the whole assembly, removed the butterfly, then gave the rest of the part away to someone here.

More than $35, but less than the $400 for the OEM part and I wasn't patient. I spilled a cup of coffee and I wasn't going to tolerate it anymore :).

I think that this is not correct. A while back mine broke on my '02 and I bought a new one from Shane (aatlas1x) who had purchased it for his truck, a '99, but it did not fit. So, it may or may not fit. I hope this gives you a definitive answer!;)
 
I meant to say, all the LX/LC100's that did originally have the butterfly, have this one type; there isn't more than one type. Shane's LC never had one to begin with. I remember that threat ;)

Does this look good, and work well? Even with the butterfly its pretty easy to dump a cup. Seems like a good upgrade.

I know for sure from 2000 thru 2004 they are the same, since i have had all 3 and my 2000 didn't come with one, but I was able to buy one off ebay and insert it and it is the same size as the others. The one I bought was used from an LX
