Hello,
I have some water that has got behind the left side of the Instrument Panel "Window" around the fuel gauge. Water Spots are there. This was a leave the window open and it gets the sprinkler kind of deal.

Can the Instrument panel be opened and the backside of the window cleaned?

Thanx!

Yep. Remove lower trim, remove steering column plastic, unbolt cluster. Make sure when you reseat it all your gauges work. Replace the bulbs while you're in there.

Good deal, so I can split it open to clean the backside of the "Glass"?

Doesn't sound too hard to get out of there, whew...

How many bulbs and what type of bulb?

Any cross-ref I've seen doesn't cover ip bulbs. Locally, I'd take the ip to a good parts store or dealer & get what you need.

Option B: PM cdan, he'll take care of you...he will need to know model year and LC or LX;). You'll be amazed by both price and service.

Yeah, I've talked to CDAN in the past. Thanx!

Jsyk, the cluster is a pain to get out and back in! When you reseat it make sure you screw the IP all the in otherwise the gauges won't work correctly/at all. It took me a while to get everything re-situated in there and tight.

Hmmm, OK thanx for that. I'm not known for my finesse either.

Actually when I went to pull mine out I got the window caught on a small ledge thing on top of the steering column and ended up scratching a small portion of it...now it drives me insane every time I get in the truck

That's the situation I'm in now. The water spots are ticking me off every time I look at the dash.
