S O L D ! ! !

- 1982 Toyota Land-Cruiser Model BJ60 4x4 Station Wagon
- Located in Ottawa, Canada (postal code K2C 2M9)
- All original drivetrain, interior and body (one front fender was replaced by PO because it was dented)
- 232,000 kms only (documented, I have all records)
- 4 cylinder 3B engine (known to go 400-500,000 kms without problems)
- Gets 25-30 miles per imperial gallon, can run on biodiesel now, and can easily be switched to run on waste vegetable oil.
- 4 speed transmission, High/Low transfer case
- strong frame and body (no rust damage to usual spots - rear frame, door bottoms, sills, wheel arches, tailgate)
- Tough, solid, dependable truck. THey don't build them like this anymore, and this is a very good Canadian specimen.
- Appraised in April 2008 at $8,000 for insurance purposes.
- Reason for selling: acquired a diesel 80 series Land-Cruiser
Sale price: $6900 or best offer .

Original owner was an elderly gentleman who owned it for 16 years, put little mileage on it (86,000 kms), then sold it to his son-in-law who used it to commute on highway for 5 years. He then sold it to someone who let it sit for 4 years. The previous owner bought it in 2007, repaired the body (replaced fender, addressed surface rust) and painted it. He then took it to a reputable Land-Cruiser repair shop who carried out almost $4,000 worth of repairs, which included:
- engine compression and oil pressure test (all ok)
- replace all four shocks
- change rear springs, replace bushings
- replace fluids in diffs, transfer case, transmission
- replace rear transfer case seal
- install class III trailer hitch and wiring
- adjust valves on engine
- adjust and tune injection pump
- replace rear heater hoses (stock are metal which can rust) with rubber
- adjusted steering rods
- repaired rear licence plate lights
- freed up and adjusted emergency brake
- replaced brake lines
- replaced front brake pads
- (suggested radiator be replaced - done, see below)

I bought it in Fall 2007 and have driven it only slightly since (stored during winter). I have carried out the following further upgrades and repairs:
- cleaned up, POR15'd the rear frame (very solid)
- removed the spare tire crossmember, replaced the spare tire winch, painted and re-installed member (original winch was seized)
- installed a nearly new rad, all new rad hoses, thermostat, clamps; verified water pump and viscous fan in good order; installed new diesel coolant
- bypassed unreliable glow plug circuit and installed manual glow plug system with push-button on the dash (much more effective); replaced all glowplugs with new ones
- completely upgraded the rear brakes (one cylinder started leaking immediately after I acquired it, so I installed new cylinders, new shoes, and new drums)
- wire brushed and treated with rust paint slight surface rust issues on floor (very minor), inside of doors (very minor).
- got the entire vehicle rust-proofed with Krown treatment in the Fall
- replaced the oil pan (original started to leak) with an excellent used one, which was painted with POR15
The truck has a few minor issues that the buyer may want to address:
- radio only works on one speaker
- rear passenger door was damaged some years ago, and is dented inside

The truck is VERY solid, no serious rust issues anywhere, and the mechanicals are in excellent condition (no oil leaks anywhere). It is a good runner and should provide years of rugged, dependable service. The engine would be an excellent candidate for addition of a turbo, if the future owner desires to go this route.

I was PO of this truck for a while, This truck is basically as rust free as any canadian cruiser could get, it hasnt seen winter in 5 years, it was heavily oil sprayed and well maintained, this truck has not been off roaded.

I wanted to add, the interior is basically mint, everthing that is there works as it should. Carpet is nice, no rips or tears.

If I had enough money I would buy the truck back in a heartbeat.

Also being an Canadian Cruiser and from 1982 you should be able to get this into the states pretty easily.

Good luck with the sale.
