Zoo Cruise???

Wellll, I totally spaced that the wifey has a thing on Saturday mornings from 8:00 - 9:00 and the LC is our only vehicle. So, I'm not sure how I'll resolve that yet. If someone could give me where everyone's going, I could catch up pretty easily.

fixed the linkage on my transfer so I have 4 low again. hard wired the heater fan and found out it still works and is just the switch that is burnt out. renewed the plates, bled the brakes and clutch and remounted the steering stabilizer. I am leaving Hamilton @ 8 and should be there right around 9. I imagine we will hang there for awhile until everyone here has had to good chance to get there. Land Roamer is leading so its on him from there.

I got three sick kids, wife wont go leaving them sick, nobody wants me to go and leave them, I am gonna have to stand down on this one. grrrrr
If I go I wont hear the end of it,
cruisers not ready anyhow, was gonna have to take the J..p or the truck. Sorry guys but I better hang here, guess I can work on the cruiser in between sick kid duty.
I still want to do a run and meet every one. maybe you guys would do another run soon.

No worries man, I grew up around there and ran a lot of those roads as a kid. Plus exploring is always half the fun. I'm sure we'll be going out again soon.
I just changed my axle oil in the parking garage on campus. Sucks doing that on the ground. Also, that old oil was bad. You're supposed to change it after 500 miles when you get new ring and pinion. Whew, I went to 1000 after the axle rebuild and that stuff was green and frothy. Nasty. Thing is zipping along now with the fresh synthetic gear oil in there
So, everything is lined up for me tomorrow. Are we canx'ing the event? It's okay if we all have to reschedule.

We missed having you along! We had a good time, broke in my new chains, used the lockers to drag Land Bruiser out of a little trouble. Beautiful day to get stuck.

I had a great time yesterday trying to break the 40, managed to succeed a little, and with open diffs/no chains, I was the weakest link. Don't worry guys that changes this month! it was a fun little run, wish the first 2 roads weren't blocked for snomobiles! I thought the idea of those was to go off the road? anyways those are the better pictures my son took(he was in charge of the photoshoot) I am sure a few more will be posted by the other guys.

I just looked on a topo. Looks like we were on South Fork Petty Creek, but I can't be positive. It was fun, good to get out, good to see the guys and meet new Cruiser folks. Always nice to see a variety of similar vehicles in action to help me think about the differences and trade offs of larger tires, skinnier tiers, and stuff like that. For some reason I can't help but think about that stuff all the time. 
yeah that looks like the souh fork, thats less than 2 miles from my house, when the cruiser is running we do a lot of quick afternoon trips up there, we have broke trail up to the old look out every year for the last 4 years. we also camp up at the old look out in the summer, its nice cause we can be up at the look out in 30 minutes and camp out, then bomb around the next morning and be back home early, looks like you all had a good trip.....
