Running MTR's now and I like them. Great on the rocks and tough, but I want to go a little wider just for stability. Thinking of running a 35x13.5 Krawler. Any of you running this tire? What do you think of them? Are they as good as MTR's or better on rocks.....wet rocks? I run rocks 99% of the time, and my rig is not a daily driver.

I run 35" Krawlers on TR beadlocks. I siped the middle rows and run them at 8#s. In my limited experience, I feel they are the best I've ever used in the rocks. I've had BFG M/Ts and MT/Rs and they were excellent but I've found the Krawlers lock up a little faster. I have them on a SAS Tundra.

Wheel width

How wide are the wheels that you are running them on? Not planning on running beadlocks so I want to put them on a 9" wheel, get a little tire hanging over the wheel for wheel protection and also to help keep them on when aired down. I usually stay above 10#s. My MTR's stay on the wheel very well as I have never lost a bead.

I'm running the 15X8 wheel with 3.75" backspace. The Krawlers I have seem to have a real tough sidewall as they skuff up but so far no cuts - with the BFG MTs my sidewalls had several superficial cuts while the MT/Rs held up great. Prior to going to beadlocks, I would pop beads at 12#s sliding down shelves but at 14#s everything held up fine. There's a hell of a difference between 12#/14# with MT/Mt/Rs and 6#/8# with the krawler.
