*Description on events below*

-Meet and Greet-
Meet your Board of Directors for food, drinks and general tomfoolery as we discuss Cruisers, rig mods and the upcoming year!

-Overland Experts Training-
Off-road driving school. Overland recreational, professional and military training. 4x4 travel. — Overland Experts
We have been working on a "club" rate with Bruce of Overland Experts(OEX). This would be a 2 day training, held on a Saturday and Sunday . The training would consist of approach angles, off camber situations and advanced recovery. OEX's overreaching theme is to teach the Science of Off Road and 4x4 driving and Overland travel so that the natural Art and Finesse of the new skill set is in your hands and mind when the going gets rough and the skill is needed in an instant.
OEX also has one of the coolest fleet of imported and well outfitted Toyotas anywhere in the US! 70 series, 80s, Newer Hilux trucks, 60 series and the list goes on. As part of your training you will be able to practice in these vehicles or use your own!
The training course is amazing. First is the purpose made course that is 6 miles of very high density obstacles arranged for optimal training progress with limited down time. The second is a sand valley of over 100 acres of hills, dunes, valleys and rocky cliffs; this well drained area mimics desert driving and they can build what they need in hours. The third is an 1800 acres parcel that has a huge choice of trails, from natural wet lowlands to natural high elevation dry rock , gravel and sand. Lastly they have various private right of ways that follow straight routes through a huge variety of terrains; these trails create very realistic point A to B travel.
If interested please contact me ASAP for pricing and details. Availability is limited.

-Spring Meeting-
You wanted it, you get it.....More Gretchen's and Swanzey! The nice folks at North East Toyota Crawlers have invited us to share Gretchen's with them, we returned the favor by inviting them to the Fall Gathering in hopes of making it THEE largest Toyota offroading event in the Northeast.
Sat. Evening there will be a BBQ with a full spread with Chicken, Ribs, burgers, dogs, salads, drinks, etc. pricing details to follow.

-Kina's Summer Solstice-
Kina has agreed to again host a weekend of camping and wheeling up in the good ole hills of the"North Country". We will also be working on a more tame run for stockers/intermediate. C'mon Dads! It's your weekend!

-Gotham City Land Cruiser's "Coalmine Cruiser Classic"-
The Coal Mine Cruiser Classic (CMCC) is an off-road event hosted by the Gotham City Land Cruisers, LLC (GCLC). This annual gathering originated in 1999 and helped to get the GCLC off the ground. In its first year CMCC hosted less than 20 vehicles. Since then it has become one of the biggest club-organized gatherings on the East Coast. Recent events have seen over 70 vehicles with 120 plus participants. The event has always been family oriented and many folks bring their entire family along.

-Expeditions West-

-Moose Mountain-
In hopes to check this place out we nabbed Moose Mountain, I don't know much about it and don't know many who have wheeled it, so why not?
From the NEA site
This area is recommended for vehicles with 33s and up with a traction device or winch. There are class VI roads for stock vehicles in the area. The property is very wet all year long so expect mud.
camping can be done on the property. It is primitive with no electricity or running water.

-Long Trail Trail Run-
Gary has again volunteered to head up his spectacular September trail run. Nothing is more beautiful then hitting the trails of VT this time of year. Also, as a added bonus at the end of one of the trails we get to stop off at Long Trail Brewery for a fabulous Lunch:cheers:. We will also be working to find some tougher stuff for our more "hardcore" group. Details to follow.

-The Fall Gathering-
A amazing way to welcome in the fall in beautiful NH. Join Toyota enthusiasts from all over for wheeling, camping(great weather;)) and family fun. This year Yankee Toys welcomes old friends Gotham City Land Cruiser and new friends North East Toyota Crawlers in hopes for one of the best and largest Fall Gatherings in YT history.

-Pre Holiday Run-
Before we all get in the holiday rush lets enjoy one more ride! The date is set but no location as of yet, we're planning on checking out Rocky Mountain Terrain Park in Maine as a possibility.
Details to follow!

-YT Holiday Party-
Lets get together and enjoy the Holidays with our wheeling friends and review the past schedule and throw out new ideas for the 2012 year! Your input is wanted! Details to follow.

NOTE:
Yankee Toy's runs are for Yankee Toy's members. If a member wishes to bring a driver-guest, that guest must be registered and cleared with the YT BOD before hand. Members who bring guests are responsible for their guests actions, both on and off the trail as it pertains to proper land use, conduct, and adherence to club policies and rules.

Thanks,
Bob

Nice job Bob & BOD

Bob,

Please don't forget about the expedition west trip.
All are welcome to join Rick and I on this trip.

Please sign me up for the overland driving school.

Jim B

put me down for the overland driving school. Let me know if there is room to invite friends.

Classes are limited to 12, I would like to get YT members in first. If there are more interested OEX can run two classes with two groups of 12 on that weekend.
Details are still being worked out. The more people that sign up the cheaper it is per person.

When: March 5th 2011
TIME: 10am-3pm

Right now we do plan on there being some mild wheeling after the meeting at Gremlin Graveyard. How fast the snow melts will play a big part in if that happens or not and how hard the property will be.
As usual please limit your wheeling spots to 2 vehicles per club and post up if you plan on wheeling or not.
The property does require a $20 donation per vehicle that each individual will be responsible for.

***I personally will not be wheeling that day. If someone wants the one of 2 spots, please let me know.***
