I thought this was supposed to be a thread for us to post up TOYOTAS we say in hope they see their rigs pictured and post up

I ran across this FJ55 a couple of weeks ago in Durham. I remember it from about 10 years ago in the Chapel Hill area. The owner had business cards for an "offraod recovery business" printed with a pic of the Cruiser on it. It has a 6.2L diesel in it. Doesn't look like it has moved in a while.

An older 6.2 diesel with a 5 speed and low t-case gears would be a perfect drive train for a 55.

Agreed. Someone should go up there and save this piggie!

That pig used to sit at the efland exit on 40W for years. I think Jon Mabe might have even talked with the guy. It sat out front of that little service station for a few years and don't believe it ever moved. someone go save it, my sporadic cruiser buying days are over for the short term.

I talked to him a couple times when it was at Rudy's offroad

The bull of the woods as it was know. Dug up some old OTMT and Tellico shots of it with UC waaaay back in the day.
It does have teh 6.2 and tow light setup with some crazy boom off the back............totally safe :D

Yeah, I remember that guy. He used to work at the Firestone on University Drive in Durham. Wanted me to work with him on the off-road recovery thing, but I wasn't interested. Somebody should definitely resurrect the pig.
