@YotaFun we having one this year?
I can do both dates but we should use one and go wheeling!Coming up, Jan 11th and Feb 8th are my only dates I can attend but I don't need to be in attendance, please feel free to throw out dates you are available and I'm sure collectively we can come.upmwith something!

early signs of a chevy rejection?Jan 11 is almost certainly a no-go here. February 8 shows more promise. The 40 has a weird ignition issue now but I’m a 2-yota house now so that won’t necessarily stop me…
Best possible diagnosis ever!early signs of a chevy rejection?
February 8th works for me, but I am flexible on dates if it needs to move.Coming up, Jan 11th and Feb 8th are my only dates I can attend but I don't need to be in attendance, please feel free to throw out dates you are available and I'm sure collectively we can come.upmwith something!
its normally breakfast at shady maples in East Earl PA.February 8th works for me, but I am flexible on dates if it needs to move.
Will the meeting be at AOAA or Rausch? If so, I'm guessing there will be wheeling involved as well?
Awesome, Love the Shady Maple!its normally breakfast at shady maples in East Earl PA.
TBD - but I wouldn't blame it. Unfortunately for it, if it blows up the small block, it'll get another small block. Unless there's a UZ laying around somewhere... The way it's backfiring it may be a random miss, something with the distributor or timing, or something in the drive line sporadically locking up. Haven't had time to diagnose it thoroughly. It starts, runs, and drives as normal, but will randomly experience a sudden loss of power and what sounds like a backfire out the tailpipe. Then it catches, and moves on like nothing happened. Oil pressure, temperature, vacuum, idle, throttle response, etc. all normal. It's like I'm losing power to the distributor for a split second, some weird issue with fuel delivery, or something in the rear is locking up then breaking free... The "abruptness" to me suggests a spark issue, more than a fuel issue, in my mind a fuel issue would "sputter" more.early signs of a chevy rejection?
That sounds like a lose connection in the ignition circuit. I'd check all the connections and grounds first.TBD - but I wouldn't blame it. In either case, I'll get this on the calendar for the 8th!
I agree with this, sounds very electrical. Make sure you also dont have a plug wire that’s getting too close to the exhaust and is melting/shorting. Pull the distributor cap and check all the contacts for something loose or corrosion. Ground wires for sure, check them all. You running a MSD box or a HEI type ignition?
If something was mechanically locking in the driveline, it would feel very different I think.
