Yakima Roof Rack/Basket on Stock Cross Bars?

NP, and I know we're a little off topic, but the Gobi ladder is super burly and easily handles a lot of weight (i'm 6'5" 235 lbs) but the convenience of being able to scramble up and arrange gear in my Yakima Sky Box, as well as other applications, has proven quite useful. The one downside (as pointed out by another MUD member @Romer ) is that the ladder does cover up the "Land" portion of our "Land Cruiser" chrome badging.

Once you put a tire carrier back there...the rest of the "Land Cruiser" is covered anyway... ;)

And... Nice looking ladder!

You could have giant LAND CRUISER stickers on every window and people would still ask you about your "cool 4Runner", in my experience. Ha, I guess it goes with the territory.

But Kevin's rig and Gobi rack look the business, for sure. I would definitely go that route next; for the awesome ladder if nothing else.

It works great-I carried I gallons 8 of gas (2, 4 gallon rotopax), maxtraxx and a hi-lift jack all through Moab and Ouray with no trouble. Fits in the garage without the hi-lift jack.

I personally like the solution because it's removable and extremely light compared to the permanent after market racks.
Great solution. How many inches from the truck roof is that? I have a low garage too.
