I'm planning to get a Yakima Megawarrior, which will work best for my needs.

Yakima makes plenty of accessories for it (e.g. Hi-lift, shovel mounts, etc.), but there does not appear to be an obvious solution to me to transport Scepter fuel/water cans up there. Anyone know of any mounts or solutions?

Here's a pic of the Megawarrior rack if it helps to see it.

Yakima states that the smaller tubing is 1/2" in diameter with the larger tubing being 1" in diameter.

I moved the crossbar up front and I am able to place the Scepter cans on the side and they are 'held' in place by the bar. I then use a ratchet strap to secure them completely.

Good idea. Any problems with the setup? Do they rattle or creep at all?

My only issue was with the rack attachment points to the crossbars. If they aren't cinched down REALLY tight, the rack will shift.
(as mine has)

Will the Yakima Megaload warrior cover up the sunroof? I don't want to get to get the load warrior and it be to short though. I understand that they make extensions but I'm asking about the size difference between the two. I have measured the top of my truck, but everything is always different in person. One more question; will either of the two racks mount directly to the stock roof rails that I have or will I have to buy mounts? Thanks.

I only ask because I know there is a picture above, but it states mega load warrior and I know there is a size difference between the two types. From my research I'm assuming that is a load warrior and not a mega load warrior, since the size difference between the two is about a foot. I just wanted to double check with you guys before I made a large purchase. Please correct and clarify if I am wrong. Thanks again.

Last thing, I believe that Yakima makes light mounts for both the racks but does anyone know their limitations? For example: 'only two per rack' or 'only kc lites' or 'no light bars' (just examples of what could be limitation(s).

I had the mega warrior with extension, it covered the sun/mood roof but with the standard yak 1a gutter mounts could still open "full tilt" without hitting it.

Load VS mega is the width. I bought a load and thought it looked funny, return and went with the mega. Seems to look better width wise on the 80. Never checked the length however as I never really put the load warrior on top.

I will say the yakima bars will bend, even with 3 or 4. And the bars in the basket are even thinner. They will hold stuff down and in there, but I got tired of snagging limbs in them and everything being exposed. Then again it rains in oregon and we have a lot of trees to squeeze under and around.
