May I suggest the: BFG 255/85r16's KM2's, or "skinnies" as their called?
The guys on the thread will tell you that I'm a nut for "skinnies" or "pizza cutters" but they're truly the perfect tire for safety:
1. three ply side chords for sidewall protection
2. made for heavy weight loads
3. flex zones for elasticity over rocks when aired down
4. deep self-cleaning tread blocks
5. low noise on freeway
6. superior footprint grip when aired down (vertical vs. horizontal) than most M/T tires
7. is a true 33" tire (will fit in garage with 3" lift)
8. cut and chip resistant sidewall
9. strand bead uniformity to improves strength, uniformity and ride quality
10. BUT, they're ugly and I love them and they're nasty gripping in the wild!

P.S. Murf at Camelback Toyota is where I purchased mine (referred originally from the Spa).
P.S. again, the anecdotal white paper on skinnies vs. wide:
