If you need the housing and guts to regear I can help as I have a pile of FJ40/FJ60 diffs. I would be willing to part with a complete 3.73 third for cheap. I do not have a complete 4.11 fine spline pinion third though.

My plan is to regear. My rear is currently welded. If I can find a carrier or third cheap enough I'm going to look for a locker also
Is $50 cheap enough for a complete FJ40 diff? I'll deliver to your driveway for another $10...

That works. I know enough but at the same time not enough. A 40 will fit an 80 rear? What part of town are You in?
The 40/60/80 rear diffs all interchange. The front diff on the 80 is different and matches the minitruck stuff.
