Wanted WTB: Ignition Switch

Need a complete ignition switch for a 78' FJ40.

If you need the switch and harness pigtail with plug, then Cool Cruisers sells them for about $20. I've used one and works just fine.

Thay also have the key and lock sets.

Thanks Mike. I assume I need the switch and pigtail. The PO put a push button switch on. I have to turn the key and press the button to get it to start. If I do not turn the key, the engine will fire but will not stay running.

Sounds like it could be more involved than just replacing the switch depending on what the PO did to the harness to wire the push button up to Ignition power. Hopefully, they spliced into the switch pigtail and not the main harness.

Actually, this is why I need a new switch. I am in the process of rewiring the whole thing. I am about half way through with installing the EZ Harness.
