WTB - 80 Series - Raleigh, NC Area

I am looking for an 80 to replace my 100. I would prefer a high milage 93 to 97 model with lockers and sunroof if available. Nothing over $6500. I am considering 91 and 92 models also. No burgandy.

Please let me know if you have one or have seen one for sale.

I know of a white unlocked 94 with 200+ miles in Charleston. It has cloth and a sunroof. Looks pretty clean for the mileage. Not sure on the service but the knuckles dont look bad. It has 285 BFG ATs that probably have 10k left in them. He is asking $5500 but Im sure would take less because its been sitting a while. Let me know if you want the contact info or some pictures.

FYI

Check on Ebay, there is a guy with a two tone 92 80 in wilmington nc, center diff lock, 178k reserve is 5500, has it listed on craigslist for 5k. I talked with him and he seems like a good guy. Asked a bunch of ?'s and he really could not answer them, he didn't know too much about cruisers.

He didn't have any documented paperwork on any service done to it. Said there was no clicking from the birfs but it probably needs a front axel rebuild IMHO after talking to him. Check out the pics he has. No affiliation with him, just considered buying it and I don't want to buy sight unseen.

I was trying to go look at it and drive it before the auction ends but our schedules conflicted.

There is a high mileage (200k) 93 in Princeton on highway 70. Green. Asking around 5,300.00 if I recall which is too much. Needs a few parts and TLC. No lockers. I wuld not pay more than 4,300 for it.
It was a local vehicle as far back as 93 according to items in glove box. Let me know if you want me to get more info/dealers name.

Thanks for keeping an eye out. I think I may have found one with lockers but do not want jinx it.

I grew up in Selma and went to Smithfield Selma Senior High School. Princeton was bringing back some Johnston County memories. I am not even sure if Princeton is in Johnston but sure is close.

Princeton is 10 minutes from Smithfield east on 70 in Johnston County near the Wayne County line. I live less than 10 minutes from there in Wayne County near Goldsboro. Lets compare the Cruisers some time....Good luck w/ the search....

I'll keep an eye out for you as well. I was lurking at the Toyota dealers in the area seeing if any Cruisers went in for trade, was up at Leith on Capital and they had the 95 I now own come in on trade. One of the service writers there is a Cruiserhead, let me see if I can find his card, he might keep an eye out for you. They say they just wholesale them when they come in on trade due to mileage, so you can make a good deal.
