.sorry john I would love to make your tranny party but I will be in Hawaii I think that time is the same times as my kite boarding lesson. atleast I was able to lead you in the right direction for a tranny. Jason S. has a stash of tranny's in his closet I mean garage. hope it all goes in well for you

The real reason is that no matter when you planned it the drive is over 20 minutes away and any true Rhode Islander needs to pack a bag and make hotel reservations for that long of a ride.
At least my garage would still be adequate for you daily driver... And by daily driver I mean the Rav4 you showed up at my house in not the LV which I have to assume you built for yout wife.

Oh SNAP! Perhaps you should fruit-up that Rav4 even more by painting it to match the LV. Either way I'm sure you feel pretty driving it.
Trannys are welcome as long as they can install transmissions. I'm an equal opportunity exploiter.

Do you guys think we should swap just the xfer case or do the trans and xfer together?
Gonna start cleaning it up and considering removing the xfer from the donor set up

leaping deer I guess I hit a nerve 
I am ok with my man (cruiser) hood. at least hte Rav4 is a toyota and not a bmw. that car has driven us to michigan and back 3 times now along with its daily duties without issue we have been happy with it. I prefer to drive the lv fo-sure but a trip to bostonin inclimate weather where I had many stops and a fast turn around at each stop AND not H55 installed which would have made the trip doable, led to the Rav4 usage. i don't get the Rav4 much me having it all day meant my wife was stranded at home with the girls on a crappy day. I have been paying for hte car usage ever since.
but while you all might make funny of me the lv was pissed in that the next day she blew out her ps pump which has left me on my bike the rest of the week until the pump gets in later today.

if it is a split case John there might not be a choice in that the transmission bolts are inside the split transfer case. lsince you have room in your garage layout a pice of large packing paper with a sharpie and label each bolt on the paper as you take it off. draw diagrams trace parts what ever it takes to orderly document each bolt part. will make getting it make together easier, and carefull of hte little shift ball associated with shifting the t-case.

As of now I need bolts for the tail end of the driveshafts I stripped 2 nuts tonight. Also, the door handle innards broke on the drivers side. likely one of the small plastic pieces so if anyone has a few of those it would help. Also need threaded inserts that come out of the tail end of the xfer case. I guess I can grab them off the one that's coming out of the truck??
