Wrenching help needed

Hi Kids,

Pumpkin's tranfer case is junk. Getting a "new" xfer and trans from Leaping Deer today.

Anyone available to help a brother out for the swap? Thinking 2/15. it's a Sunday on the long weekend.

I have a heated, well lit garage with a urinal and a stereo. Unlimited wine, beer, liquor, and misc selelcted cruiser parts for any participants.

Any help is appreciated!!!

It's about 1.5 hrs to Hartford. Right up the road!!

Are you planning on dropping the trans/xfer as a unit and splitting it on the ground? I only ask to see if you had wally do a clutch in the motor install. That would be the time to do it.

Also, get an ebrake rebuild and the rear seal kit. Much easier to to when it is on your shop floor.

I can probably stop by but unless you have fuel injection, coil springs, ABS, disk brakes or electric lockers I'll be useless as hell. So I'll be nothing more than a 6'6" food and beverage consumer.

This bit of wrenching is due to the fact that the Pumpkin is sold and the xfer case seized up. Just a heads up that it's more of a bailout wrenching day. Just don't want anyone to feel bummed out that they're working on a truck that's going away

That said, it'll be a fun day to get a bunch of YT people together.

so are you replacing it with a different cruiser, 70 series perhaps

I'm driving to Montreal on Weds to check out a 70. I've basically decided to get it and David Drouin checked it out for me twice. Gonna get rid of my current DD and use the 70 exclusively. Can't justify a car payment with the pumpkin sitting idle in the garage all the time.

Need to hook the heat up in it as well that day. Should be easy (I hope!)
