Auction yard came to pick up my wrecked LX yesterday. Even though this vehicle was in a rollover accident and both sides of frame are bent, it will not be given a salvage title. I guess Allstate made sure to perform their calculations just right and the state of Texas allows them to do that. VIN is JTJHT00W174023799

I asked to purchase the vehicle back and was given the option for ~$4,800. I had estimates from 2 other yards for less than half of that, but Allstate refused to consider them.

Copart is the name of the auction company. I'm not sure which location it will end up. I've attached some pictures as it was hauled away.

So wait... they totaled it but don't have to brand it as such? What then is the criteria for a salvage?

Edit: I see you pulled sliders, bumpers, etc. Did they give you any static about that?

They wouldn't give me a penny for them so I took them off and crammed the originals, bumpers and running boards, inside.

Not sure how they calculate it to come to that conclusion. Seems criminal to me.

Tow truck looks pretty small in that first pic, lol. And nice job towing on a flatbed.
