Would the 2013 Cluster work in an 08?

Hi guys, the only thing I dislike about my truck is the cluster and I wouldn't mind the newer 13 info/gps. But I can live with the 08's. Do you know if the 2013 would be a direct swap into an 08?

Thanks, Matt

    If you want a reliable and safe car that performs well, it’s important that you get the Genuine Toyota OEM Parts that you are looking for. Shopping elsewhere to save money can cost you more in the long run, as minor problems left unfixed can lead to major repairs. At Cheapest Factory Parts the Toyota parts that we sell are factory certified. Why go anywhere else?

At that price, it'd have to put itself in.

Well, you've got me there.

@mreedbmwm3

Are you also upgrading other components to newer (2013+) parts on your 08?

ie- headlights, taillights, grille, other exterior/ interior 'visible' components

I'd think carefully about doing this mod. It's expensive for really no gain other than aesthetics, and it could be a programming nightmare. Also it will negatively affect resale value - I for one wouldn't want to touch a car where someone said they changed the instrument cluster just for fun. I'd immediately think potential odometer rollback, an accident, rodents chewed through wiring, electrical gremlins. etc. You're going to get a lot better bang for the buck by putting on something like sliders, tires, a lift, rack, etc. I can't tell if you're modded since I don't see a signature, but spending money on hard parts like the ones mentioned will be a far better ROI.

I suspect the wiring to the MID is different. I don't believe the 2008-2011 will show the front tire angle in the MID (or the reverse path lines on the rear camera when turning).
