Would like to remove some lift from my HZJ70

Are any of these marked? I'm not sure how to identify quality (or not) leaf springs

Sometimes you can see the makers names on top, usually stenciled on in paint. Again on top, they are usually stamped L or R , A or B.
If the springs were added in Japan, they have some quality gear.
Your springs have the desirable double military wrap on the ends, which was onc a sign of quality but some of the rubbish are using these now.

Actually after a closer look , I think you have junk on the front and quality on the rear. The junk are the non tapered thickness leaves with square cut ends and the unclosed brackets holding them together.

I'm still not 100% sure on the part numbers for the shackles

The factory bushes are rubber, most of the aftermarkets are nylon based. I think there are only eye 2 sizes on the 7* What is the year of yours.

Good to know. Driver's side on RHD or LHD?

On Toyotas RH and LH sides is determined by sitting in the vehicle looking forward. Its the best way to express it because there is a combo of L and RH drive vehicle owners here.

What does it ride like on bad roads?

Your shackles look to be the same ones I pulled off my truck

The plus minus thing is based on manufacturing tolerance. Basically they test the packs. Slightly higher spring rate gets a + the slightly lower gets a - and dead perfect get nothing. Put the + on the side which carries more weight (the side the driver sits on). Or if you have a lean you can use the + - to adjust and level the lean.

If it’s a JDM truck it’s doubtful they’re ARB springs. But there are a lot of good springs avalible in Japan. @NanaMaru and/or @Cavalier2000 may be able to provide additional guidance.

Interesting on the + - .. i'll have to check it out when i have a free moment. Appreciate the references as well.

How do they taper if they are not low quality (in what direction)? The rest of the bill looks to fit though - square ends, unclosed brackets.

I used this site to look up the parts for my 91, just not sure if it's totally accurate with everything TOYOTA LAND CRUISER S/T,H/T HZJ77HV-MEU, 04481 SHACKLE KIT, FRONT SPRING

I haven't had a chance to get the truck on bad roads right now (i've avoided most bumps) - if you saw my original thread, i've got some serious death wobble i still haven't cured (i think i have the parts to do it, just have had zero time lately).

The good ones are round and/or get thinner at the ends. The el cheapos are just square cut. I thought I saw some square cut leaves, might have been someone elses post

Decided to go the full OME route and not mess with piecing stuff together. The front came down a bit, the rear so far is still settling but hasn't changed much. Hopefully will settle slightly but i'm liking the ride so far. I'll mess with swapping out the poly bushings with rubber to ease up the ride a bit but honestly i'm pretty happy with it right now.

One thing we discovered is the truck is actually missing the front sway bar - since i don't really plan on doing any heavy off roading in the near future, i'm planning on putting one on. i've found the part i think (48811-60051 plus the brackets 48825-60020 and bushings 48815-26020) and have also found one on the japanese auctions that is advertised as being for the 70 series. They do not specify which generation or year 70, does anyone know if they should be compatible across years? Mine is a 91 HZJ77, here's a pic from the auction:
