I know your getting sick of me saying this.........................

Butttt pimp found us a sweet 1994 FJ80 with OEM lockers for 5K!!!!!!!!!!!

So there are some good deals to be had if you are a keen shopper, take your time and somthing very nice may come your way.

Fellas I appreciate the help. Links and personal experience are honstly the most helpful in my opinion. If you don't want to waste your time responding to my elementary questions then don't, about 20 other people in the past day did take the time to make a guy new to 80 series feel welcome and I think that's important if you want to gain new members.

I like Junk and I don't think you could belittle him if you tried. He's pretty much beyond reproach.

I had a simple and unique question that spawned other questions. Moj answered my question and gave me useful links in less than half the space you took up trying to put me in my place. That's all I'm saying.

Yesterday I thought I stumbled upon a well maintained Cruiser for a decent price and didn't want to let it slip away. Today I feel differently about the subject and I have the expertise and advice of the members of this board to thank for that. I may very well be guilty of jumping in without all the facts on this one. I'll do my research and keep on looking.

For those who asked... I'm looking for a DD that can also take me on the long trips to go hunting and fishing when the '79 FJ40 won't do.

B- you can feel free to reply but I probably won't just because I've said what I have to say and it's kind of getting away from tech. No hard feelings.

jeremy --

i got my '91 for $4,500 in December -- I love it -- I really enjoy driving it -- even sometimes compared to my '94 -- my 91 is to a harley what my 94 is to a gold wing -- just different --

i have had to do some $$ maintenance on it, but i think it was warranted -- exhaust from manifold-back ($600), new radiator, P/S lines, alternator (PM), water pump (PM) for $900 and a recent birf job for around $900 in parts --

-- normal stuff you'll have to do on any vehicle over 10 years old -- and stuff which should not need maintenance for quite some time --

This has got to be a joke. No noob would be that lazy/naive/arrogant. He's got to be in ca-hoots with Junk. There just trying to get some people going.

There's a '95 with 145k and no lockers for sale locally near me for $9000.00. Southeast PA.

Thanks for the. heads up snowcruiser. I think I'll keep on looking localy.

Eric- that's the good info I was looking for. It seems this particular cruiser is a little overpriced. I looked at blue book and NADA and there was a pretty large discrepancy between the two. Seems like actual prices are closer to blue book.

>> it's kind of getting away from tech. <<

That's never stopped anyone from posting here in the 80 section. :D

>> No hard feelings. <<

None here but I will offer one final piece of advice. When someone politely suggests that a topic has been covered in depth and that you should SEARCH for more information then you should politely reply something like "thanks for the pointer, I'll check it out." Your reply was to slam me (& Junk) for suggesting a SEARCH. Bad form, IMHO.
