Yeah thanks Bruce, I got a lot on the go, and work pretty much eats all my time in the summer so I have very little spare time. I do hope to bank up enough over time to take a couple months off this winter, so hopefully take one of those months to get the old work truck somewhat complete. :hillbilly:

I do still also have one more rock slider to finish on my wagon, then swap the other longfield into it, then put turbo back on the 42 so I can cruise old school around town a bit, then this project gets pulled back into the shop. patients my friend ;)

Definately gonna take a miracle to get it done this year, but I do welcome help from Jesus as I am sure he is a pretty meticulous guy.

Jesus is a Cruiserhead? :p

Well ya, the devil drives a *eep. ;)

Any updates on this thing Deny. I have 79 fever. I think this will only subside when I break down and buy one.
I need something to accompany my 77.

Update is I pulled it into the shop before I left to get my eyes lasered and christmas break. I just bought a few things for it at EBI, hoping once I get back in January that I will go hard on it and at least make it drivable so I can pull it in and out of the shop whenever I feel like, hoping at latest to get it finished up next year.
Cheers,
Deny

Hi All,

Started cleaning up and painting a few things this weekend, which is taking some time. as I wait for paint to dry started cleaning the air cleaner. Will try to keep plugging away at this thing as time allows, but this petty little painting stuff seems to take way too much time for what I get done and having to start a fire in the wood stove in the shop so the damn paint dries. Anyway once I am done with the body mounts, will install park break, gas tank, paint fire wall, finish front axle (ie fabbing control arm mount), then install engine and rest of drive train. Big goal is to get it at least mobile under it's own power by the summer.

Cheers,

Yeah factory boxes look cool and all, but I need to flat deck this bitch so she's practical for work.

Don't worry it won't be as fugly as crushers lowrider flat deck on his ex fire truck FJ75! :hillbilly: Thinking a mix between some of the decks I see common up here in the oil patch with a hint of aussi, but you never know, might be retired by the time I finish this truck and it might get a factory box and just be a bling bling truck.:hillbilly:

Hah
I think he had a similar goal to what Louis has. Didn't turn out the same.
I could see the ute tray costing same well the same as a factory box. No fork lifting pallets into that puppy though.

Oh I got big plans with deck, to possibly make it dump like my dad's 75 tray, then incorporate ramps for quad and sled under the deck, possibly make side attachments so I can carry two quads or sleds on the back if needed........like I say big plans:hillbilly:

Cheers,

Good to see you back at er.
Redoing the front axle? Control arm as in panhard/track bar? Changed angles after messing around with the high steer arms?

Yeah I never finished the axle mount (frame mount keeping stock, just drilled larger holes for bigger bolt) before I pushed it outside last year.

Ouch just looked at when I started this project and it was in 2007, been a while, need to get cracking and get this thing done!

I'm watching to see what you do. I was just looking at Frank's dump bed and thinking of what my mine truck might eventually look like. I'm determined to make it as much like a Land Cruiser version of a Swiss army knife as possible.

We were just saying the other day that you should have a cruiserhead work kegger so we can finally get to see this rig leave your garage. ;).

(- any info yet??)

Yeah don't wait too long, I will be lucky to get it running this year, hoping to start the final details like deck, bumper, and sliders next year.:hillbilly: But if you need more pics of my dads truck let me know and that can be arranged, he uses that dump bed all the time. He couldn't be happeir with that truck and is taking it up to alaska this summer.

(don't look good, looks like Spectra wants me to go out to the bonspiel too, so even if a spot became available for River Shiver, I will most likely be curling for work:hillbilly:.)
