Nope, mearly taking a break on it thanks to work. Hopefully have some time this weekend to do a little work on it.

I wish. gonna have to work again this weekend, so nothing will probably happen. I still haven't really touched it since January, ever since work got busy. I will get on it some day though, cause I do feel bad every time I walk by it or wrenching on the wagon. I think if I didn't have a work truck, I would be more rushed and dedicated on getting it done, but really I have no pressure to get it done, just a want. I will pray to Jesus though to get some time and money to finish it up soon.:hillbilly:

Did a little last week on the truck, just so that I could say I didn't forget about it. Started welding up the custom rear U-bolt plates that I will drill and get ready for the air bag mounts (which I will also have to slightly customize by welding some longer tabs and drilling so Ican bolt up to the U-bolt plate)

I don't know s*** about airbag suspension but those look a bit short for your application . I realize the back end will settle once you get some weight on it so maybe you have that figured out. Anyway, good to see you're making progress again.

Yeah one, it will still settle, two I will be adding some hieght to the bottom airbag bracket, plus building one down from the frame. Thing is on the instructions you need them to sit like 6-7 inches, then they compress and streach as the suspension flexes. Don't worry I am no expert, but I do have an idea of what I am doing.:hillbilly:

Thought I would dust off this thread a little as I just got the wood stove going and figure I'd let it warm up and post up the few things I have done in the last little while. Installed the axles after I built the ubolt plates/bottom airbag mounts. And am in the process of building an axle side track bar mount on the fornt axle. hoping to get that done today so I can slap the doors on to drag it outside and do a couple things on my frozen solid wagon.

Nope 70 axles, FF in rear too. 60 axles will be on my BJ42/45.

Got the panhard bar mocked up, but then it would take me forever to build right, so I just quickly put a bar together to be able to get it out of the shop this weekend. I sort of snot glued the front of the bottom perminent mount, so will have to fix it up once I get back at it. Still planning another two bolts just below the coil, with another piece of metal (mocked up cardbord photo)hooking the two axle mounts togther where I will weld a mount for the panhard bar. should work pretty good, but will probably be an inch shorter than my draglink, but will be the same angle and hopefully won't get any bump steer from such a minor difference.

Then I slammed the two doors on, and put it on the ground. opened up the garage door to get the wagon ready to pull it out of the shop, and looks like it is just too big to get out of there. Aired down the tires and I think I got enough clearence, at least I didn't hear any big scraping as I pulled it out.:hillbilly:

Congrats! Now you can let it rot away with the snow.

Seriously - congrats. I know how much you've wanted to make it mobile.

I think this technique warrants a thread of its own. Please provide more detail. I'm intrigued.

Pulled it out with no major issues and set it a trucklength away from the shop. Tarped it up and the wagon squeezed around and tucked it into the shop after I did a bit of a clean up. Hopefully will get the wagon up to snuff soon so I can get back at the mine truck before winter is over. Was nice though as this is the first time in 3 years been able to bring something into the shop!

so the wagon fit?

Yeah it's roof rack is actually smaller than the mine truck roof, course once an engine and deck get put on the truck it will squat down a bit, but then with the bigger tires it will squat back up. Either way it will be a little taller than I initially wanted. The wagon is getting jacked up a bit now too, so hopefully will be able to pull the thing out of there when I am done.

SO i guess this thread is dead untill that thing gets back in the shop,

yup, fraid so.
