When I used to work at a Toyota junkyard I wore Carhartt. Same pants everyday for almost a full year. The ones with the extra fabric on the front of the legs. I had to crawl underneath Toyota junkers all day long pulling parts. They would get axle grease, oil, antifreeze, and gas on them and would still hold up. The only thing that would destroy them is my pant legs getting caught on parts of the car that had twisted metal sticking out (always the cars and trucks with all the sheet metal destroyed). Shirts were always just junk shirts or gift shirts from the Snap-On guy.

Walls blizzard proof coveralls in the winter, sourced via ebay for 25 bucks and bibs in the summer also sourced cheap at a thrift store. Everything underneath are demoted jeans/shirts.

If I'm traveling I'll hit up a goodwill or salvation army for something that fits that i can trash, usually 10 bucks will get me some pants and long sleeves.
