Woody, How about a "Mature Themes" forum section?

Woody, not to be a prude, but chit chat has become flooded with sex related and 35% posts over the last month or two. Have you considered a forum section for "mature" themes? I don't mind them every once in a while, but when they are half of the first page of chit-chat threads it is a little annoying. I know I don't have to click on them, etc., but just wondering if there is something that could be done that would make the forum better?

IMO, creating such a section would only encourage more of it....like most things, it happens in cycles...we go for 6 weeks on a normal course, and then all of the sudden, everyone thinks it's "funny" to get the cycle going...

Plus, and worse, I'm then stuck moderating another section for content....

I've tweaked the vBulletin software a bit to help alleviate the poll irritation tho

i say get over it, there's already too many sections to check, and a mature one won't get anywhere near the number of sex posts as chat has been getting, because people will become concious of going into another section...

and it's not like chat ever had a purpose anyway, so it's not taking away from real tech or anything, as for the concerns of having children stumble across them, i believe they are balanced reading (maybe not the 35% ones) as they are giving both sides to the whole "play around, remain celebate" debate...

and kids are much more likely to listen to their "friends" on mud, than their parents... sad fact of life, so maybe it'l add some balance from their teenage hormone root machines that would hit anything that stood still for 2 secondss...
