I don't love the look of the wood trim, I am contemplating changing out the trimmed out pieces with stock black if available, and I would think ebaying the wood pieces would cover the cost to do so since they are mint?

any thoughts?

Stock black? I believe stock was wood.

And you are more than likely not going to get a very good price on the used trim i.e. not much need for it.

Wood trim will be worthless once you take it off. It gets damaged while pulling it off.
If you do it carefully, you do not need to buy anything to replace it, the "black" will be under the wood.

You said "trim."

i think he's saying he wants to find the trim pieces without the wood on them and swap these with the wood trimmed ones, not remove the wood from the current pieces

My question is do they make black trim pieces?

yeah, the idea was to remove the entire piece with the wood trim, I assume you would probably damage the wood or the plastic in removal otherwise.

The factory window sticker added like $400-$500 for wood "option" so I thought they may be available w/o wood. I'll pm cdan to see what the deal is.

My PO included he orig. window sticker in the sale, wood trim retailed @ $549 - ouch. It may have been a very common "forced option" though. Funny how the rear diff lock was "only" $430.
