dang - that's just a sexy snail ! great work and execution as always....

Just a quick note. The REIN power steering hose came in. The hose says made in China but it’s using Japanese hydraulic hose. All mounting hardware indeed comes with it. The Gates 180 bend isn’t the correct radius to fit easily back in the mounting bracket.

I have the Rein and it fit perfectly and mirrors OEM.

The new condenser is in. The #rondavisradiators is in. The power steering cooler and hoses are in. The #york pulley, blue hub fan clutch and new fan are in.

Just have to figure out where I should be putting all of the new foam rubber on the condenser and radiator.

Will your hood close?

Of course. All the same set up as the ICON80.
Sorry, just looks like it's sticking up a long ways.

Octopus Illusion I guess.

The fan clutch was the factory original but actually still worked although not ideal for San Fernando Valley summer heat. Switched it out with one of the blue hub modified fan clutches. The fan was actually fine but why put a dingy looking fan back on when a new fan isn’t crazy money?

That's slick stuff, i'm enjoying this thread very much.

Ordered in few different types of insulation to use around the condenser, between the condenser and radiator, and between the radiator and fan shroud. The purpose of this is to get all of the air that goes in thru the grill to go thru the condenser and radiator WITHOUT air escaping out the sides. That loss of air is what keeps your engine running warm, rather too warm.

Now the OEM stuff is open cell foam by the looks of how it’s degraded. I ordered up different densities of foam rubber. Basically everything from the variants of Frost King to stuff I found on Amazon. Most on MUD,including myself, just use the Frost King high density stuff. it’s been on my SC’d truck for like six years and it’s ok. But on the turbo truck I think I’m going to use the really high density stuff I got off Amazon.

You could of course go OEM but then you gotta do a secondary adhesive pass. I prefer to just use the adhesive backed. It’s helped up for years so I’m good with it.

So take a look at the pic, the stuff on bottom has open cells and kinda looks like it’ll sponge water. The black foam on top is really thick and feels more like rubber. It’s really dense. I’ll be working with this stuff. I got four different widths and thicknesses to play with.

More made in China s*** 🙄

My charcoal canister in both trucks are over saturated. I have zero interest in cutting it open and replacing filter media and new charcoal and then JB Welding it. Blah. That’s not for me.

Just to get past a the CARB compliance testing I’m sucking it up and just using this thing from VatoZone, the VC120. It feels every bit of its cost...cheap.

I guarantee you folks that this won’t be on my truck for long 😒
