I've owned a few runners too. Your 99 looks just like my buddy's, nice looking rig. What part of WI you live?

An un-friendly soul, I gave a dude in a lifted 4-Runner a Thumbs up a few days ago, and the guy just eyeballed me, WTFs with that?

Agreed. Maybe his hands were tied up with the girl next to him... ;)

I really need to start working on my FJ80 soon. Need to put the front spring spacers in so its level, need to rebuild a front knuckle, would like to build a rear bumper with swing outs, and a Snorkel!

Wait a minute. You are back? I thought I saw your face on a milk carton recently.

Who has the huge Gray 80-series off of hwy83 in Hartford? I saw it today on a trailer, 35s and black wheels. Looks great!

I just wanted to start a thread on introductions. I know our state holds a ton of Cruiserheads (not just Cheeseheads). Hopefully an introduction page will bring some life to Wisconsin. No reason to reform a TLCA chapter if we can "meet" online. I've lived in WI for 6 years now and really still have wheeled only once here in our great state. I would like to get some action going and possible rides/events going with other Cruiser nuts like me locally.

Just post a quick bio:

I have not wheeled this rig as of yet other than simple trails and fields, offroading is VERY slim in southern WI. Looking forward to many happy trails.

Past rigs
1976 CJ5 reconstruction. towed it home for free from a farmer up the road to get it out of his garage.
removed body tossed tub, sandblasted frame and running gear, rebuilt trans, new clutch PP and surfaced flywheel, new Fiberglass tub, new 6" lift suspension, new brakes, tuneup on the OEM 304 V8, new shocks, all new steering linkages, Chevy Monza buckets. Upol tintable bedliner inside tub and Hurculiner underside of the whole body while it was off.
Originally had 15 X 10 Chrome Steelies with 44" but after living through a " death wobble" incident on the hiway they went away and then mounted BFG 33s. Drove that jeep for 5 years and sold it to a buddy from Hayward and I think it's still around.
1994 S10 ZR2 Drove this truck from 2001 until this last summer finally had 188K on the ticker and someone wanted it for their kid to drive and made me an off I could not refuse. I had just finished a complete refresh:
New factory cab corners and rockers, new OEM front fenders and inner fenderwells, southern rust free box, new billet distribuitor, new brakes all around, new gas tank, new fuel pump and almost every electronic sensor on the truck except the ECU.

I do all my own work as well as being able to stick metal together with electricity, HVLP spray hack, Worked for Kelly Moss Porsche racing for 10 years as a race tech and as a Sr Controls Design Engineer for 21 years at GIlman Engineering in Janesville.
Have a fairly well equipped shop for a home garage.
